With gold prices reaching new pricing levels, the Abu Dhabi's Emirates Place Hotel has now launched the first ever gold ATM. Now, instead of getting cash just withdraw gold coins. The gold ATM in the Emirate Place Hotel is the world's first ever gold ATM.
The German company who created the ATM for the Emirates Place Hotel has plans to offer the new gold ATM in 500 locations across Germany, Switzerland, and Austria.
You can get 24 karat gold bars in 1,5, and 10 gram sizes plus gold coins. The ATM monitors gold prices in real time to offer the current price of gold when people go to purchase.
Whether this is a gimmick or here to stay has yet to be seen though it is interesting at the least.
